RSPB Spring/Summer Trail
With the help of Jo, who works for the RSPB, we explored a grassland/woodland area and a pond habitat - we studied the behaviour of the animals that lived there. We used nets, petri dishes and spoons to find the animals and then used pictures and keys to help identify them. The children then demonstrated what they had learnt by creating a natural picture of a creature they had found that day, using leaf litter to represent its key features.
